The media to produce texture in lacquer painting is Xiu Shi Ceng which blesses the textures with countless variations and possibilities of relevant colors. These possibilities are necessarily taken place because of the fortuities. This paper takes the fortuitous condition as the prerequisite to analyze the ultimate aesthetic value resulted from variations. By systematically demonstrating the specific aesthetics of texture, we can see the great impact of texture on contemporary lacquer paintings. Through revaluing texture, we can put forward that texture should achieve its value as a separate genre by means of its status as the main language of modern lacquer painting, and becomes the motive force to promote lacquer painting culture.
