Elementary Analysis Of Yan Family Instructions And Its Ethics Connotation

The ethical thoughts contained in traditional Chinese family instructions in traditional Chinese society are the main reflection of traditional Chinese culture. The research and discussion of the traditional and contemporary family education are of great academic significance. In view of the special and important role of the family education among many types educational forms, this paper attempts to explore the values of the Confucian tradition and family ethics, and sorts out ethical concepts from Yan Family instructions, which is one of the most representative family instructions in traditional China, aiming to peruse the reference significance to the family education, especially the moral education.The paper includes five parts: the preface, three chapters and the conclusion. The preface summaries the writing characteristics, basic contents, thought core and modern value of Yan family instructions. The three chapters respectively discuss the relationship between family and family discipline, the development history of Chinese traditional discipline before Sui dynasties and Tang dynasties, social background of Yan family instructions and the author's personal experience,the volume article structure,"Regulating the family","utmost the knowledge"and"handling affairs", and so on; the Confucian tradition and practice of Yan family instructions, the contradictory ideas between inner personalities and to preserve our sanity gentleman ideological. The last parts discuss the absorption and abandon of moral education discipline principle methods and contemporary significance. From the basic concepts of traditional Chinese discipline, the paper analyzes the meaning of "home", summarizes the basic form of family instructions, traces the development history, restore the social background of the northern and southern dynasties, which tries to further explore the ethical value theory of Yan family instructions and provide objective in historical perspective. Based on the introduction of Yan family instructions, this paper refines the fusion of Confucianism. Further, this paper dig deep its inherent contradictions to"die to achieve virtue"and"keep the position and avoid the damage","being official in three royal governments"and"the spirit of loyal official". In the end, the duality of the family discipline is analyzed briefly and the principle "draw the essence and discard the dross" is put forward. The emphasis of the traditional thought of Chinese traditional culture playing a significant impact of inheriting traditional education in our family cannot be ignored.
