A Study On Applying "Viewborrowing" Which Is Used In The Chinese Landscape Design Into Mural Design

The trait of mural is attached to architecture. Under the circumstance of promoting science and technology, the building materials and technology continue to update. New building materials, such as steel and glass, are widespreadly used in building construction. The use of a large number of reinforced concrete structures, glass curtain walls, prefabricated building structure makes our traditional wall of building retreat to a secondary position. Thereby, the space for mural paintings is shrinked. At the same time, new building materials also make the model of wall expanded. Mural paintings must comply with the development of architecture. The mural paintings, which is going to merge with the building structure, maybe not only develop in decoration of the construction process, but also combine practicability with beautification in the future.This article is related to the theories about gardens, environmental art, architecture and frescoes. The key of this part is about the theory of "viewborrowing", which used in the field of Chinese Landscape Design, and mural paintings. Through learning from the approach of "viewborrowing", I intend to probe into new ways to develop a new style of mural painting.Murals can be consciously designed to optimize the architectural space. The unsatisfactory building space can be adjusted visually in this way. The purpose of this article is to find the connection between "viewborrowing" and mural design. So we can make the development of the mural design reflect humanity, and maintain or expand the space which is defined by construction entity. At last, we can live in a harmonious environment.There are there parts in this article.The first part of this article describes the way, the value, and the function of "viewborrowing" which is a prepparation for the second part of this article.The second part is the core of this article, which analyses the methods, materials and the effect of the theory of "viewborrowing" in the field of chinese landscape design that will be used in mural design. Through the analysis of examples,1 intend to explain the feasibilities and advantages of this approach used in mural design.The third part of this article is a study on the tendency of the development of mural design which is about to merge into the ecological environment.In this paper, I point out a new tendency of the development of mural and put forward some new thoughts about applying the "viewborrowing" into mural design.
