The Research On Japanese Colonial Education In Modern Dalian(1905-1945)

The education is the foundation underlying all our efforts to build the country and unceasingly transmitting the culture and the civilization. However, the colonial education which is considered as the special form of education runs counter to the original will of education. It has become one of the obstacles in social development. This paper takes the Japanese colonial education implemented during the occupation of modern Dalian as its object of study, deeply probes into the essence of the colonial education which is for the service of the Japanese imperialist rule, it further discloses the atrocities committed by the Japanese imperialism to the DaLian people and the social harmfulness cuased in every aspect of the society.This paper mainly from the historical perspective analyses the colonial education of 40 years'Japanese imperialist rule in Dalian. This thesis is divided into three parts. First, introduces the background and the main content of the Japanese colonial education in DaLian and the three stages of implementation, simultaneously probes into the colonial education which was gradually intensified by the three stages and the inner link with the expansion of the aggression against China. Summarizing the root causes of colonial education is the temptation by war benefits and the driving by "mainland policy". Secondly, state the original purpose of enslavement education Japanese colonial education in DaLian, and ascertain the feature of colonial education in DaLian through horizontal comparative analysis, further disclosing the purpose of colonial education is to eliminate Chinese people's patriotism and national consciousness. The nature of colonial education is a tool of colonial authorities to maintain its political domination, and is the catalyst for imperialist to launch the invasion of China. On the basis of analysis and arguments, evaluate the colonial education mainly from two aspects:its harm and objective function. It deeply exposes the harm which caused by colonial education to every aspect of Dalian society, such as destroying the educational business, devastating the national consciousness, blocking the traditional Chinese culture, the madness plundering of resources and the undermining of economic development. On the other hand, combined the historical facts it apprises the objective function of colonial education. It makes a brief summary and an overall analysis of Japanese colonial education in DaLian, further discloses the damages of the colonial education which is as long as 40 years imposed on the DaLian people by Japanese imperialism.This paper aims to analyze and research the relevant historical materials to further understand that the Japanese imperialism colonized the DaLian people using colonial education. At the same time, this paper will further reveal the Japanese imperialist aggression against our country and the calamities of the Dalian people, to refute the Japanese right-wingers about denying the Japanese history of shameless babblings.Looking at the future with historical perspective, and summarizing experiences is better for us to grasp the way forward.
