Hong Ying gives too much description of father-daughter relationship in her novels. The depiction of father-daughter relationship mainly contains two paradoxically fundamental elements, that is, "seeking father" and "Patricide", which inextricably interweave with numerous conflicts. The birth trauma due to fatherlessness traps the heroines into consequent predicament in reality and spirit. They wish their" father" could get them out of the helpless mire. Therefore, "seeking father" becomes their life motivation and aim. However, the futility of "seeking father" turns into the expression of "Patricide", which is followed with endless repentance. All in all, Hong Ying's novels overflow with paradoxical writing of "seeking father" and "Patricide". From the perspective of gender culture, especially from the point of view of " father" image in the eyes of daughter, the present paper analyzes the connotation and cultural meaning of its paradoxical zed writing of "seeking father and Patricide" in Hong Ying's novels. "Seeking father" shows realistically and culturally the indispensable role of father. In contrast, "Patricide" expresses female's criticism towards "father". Both reveal female's cultural examination towards "father".The paradoxical writing finds expression in the author's traumatic childhood experience. In a certain sense, writing has become the main way of treatment for her. To some extent, the numerous conflicts and perplexities revealed in her works are her mingled mental literature expression influenced by the blood. Her literature expression tells her thought-provoking reflection towards traditional father supremacy. Her straight writing enriches and surpasses similar "Patricide" writing at present, which is tinted with fully female conscious self-examination.
