"Mean" is the ancient Chinese traditional philosophical categories. In ancient times, it has been known as the "Supreme Virtue"and has been highly respected. However, since the beginning half of the twentieth century, the "golden mean" has been thwarted under the impact of a variety of social thought. In contemporary society, people tend to vulgarization to the understanding of "mean".Mao Zedong once put forward a very clear idea that moderate ideology is "a major discovery of Confucius, a great achievement, important areas of philosophy, it is deserved to be explained well." There, I can not help asking:For the golden mean, Mao Zedong, How to interpret it? How to look back and introspect it? How to comb and mine it? What did he abandon? What did he inherit? What did he develop? This paper described four chapters. It focuses on the context of Marxism under the dialectical perspective. The Doctrine of the Mean of Confucius has carried out by creative interpretation of Mao Zedong. From it, we can find the wealthy part of the mean, and can understand Mao Zedong's approach of "adopted by the historical, critical inheritance, innovation, service realistic". At the same time, the transformed "Golden Mean" by Mao Zedong also has a new meaning and practical value of the times, both provided us a grasp of the world, looking the world in new ways, but also it has a very good inspiration and reference on the current construction of a harmonious society.
