Artistic Expression Of Raw Soil And Practical Study Of Room Design Of Underground Cave In Shaanxi

At present, with the impact of Western Development and constructing the harmonious socialism new countryside, the underground cave in Shaanxi Province is facing an on-going updating and upgrading. On one hand, with the increasing living standard of people who lived in the underground cave, the original living space can not meet the needs of modern life, so people who lived in the underground cave want to have more spacious and comfortable houses. Although it was warm in winter and cool in summer to live in traditional local-style dwelling houses, there were many disadvantages that couldn't be overcome in their underground cave which were built and designed by themselves. On the other hand, since the local economy condition is limited, it'll be a great impact on energy consumption and Western ecological environment and it'll also be a great waste from an environmental protection point of view if we copy the urban residential style. In addition, we are badly in need of inheriting and carrying forward the colorful local-style residence culture in Shaanxi Province in China. From the above points of view, it is necessary and possible to develop and update the underground cave in Shaanxi Province.Firstly, this paper analyses raw soil as a kind of building material and reacquainting about the raw soil from an ecology perspective to explore the characteristics of raw soil. Secondly, according to the utilization of raw soil in the building and to the problems that exist in the underground cave, we explored both methods and means of raw soil moulds and of their artistic expression. Lastly, After the analysis of the excellent curricular work of environment in raw soil of underground cave in Shaanxi by the graduate in the direction of culture with the direct of Professor Qiu Xiaokui in School of Architecture of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, we summarized principles and methods of the design about the raw soil in underground cave so that its material can be better and more widely applied to the design of Western underground cave. Thus, we can make raw soil creative technique by exploring its potential with modern technology and design means in raw soil environment. To provide more possibilities to develop raw soil environment which is designed by humanism, we need to create that raw soil environment which is original, economic, practical, beautiful, energy-saving and environment-friendly.We appeal to even-designer to focus attention on Western China and on rural areas and it is our mission and responsibility with which the era have endowed. It is also the question that deserves every designer pondering.
