At present, the Chinese Menu translation studies can't keep up with the latest development in the Chinese cuisine. The Chinese Menu, as a window of opportunity for spreading the Chinese culture, is brimming with cultural connotations. With China's rapid economic development and the successful holding of the Olympic Games, the Chinese Cuisine has received increasing attention during the intercultural communication between China and the West. Therefore, the role that the translation of the Chinese Menu plays is self-evident.In the past, the status quo of the Chinese Menu translation was unsatisfying, and created obstacles to the intercultural exchange, as the translation of Chinese Menu did not have applicable general standards and effective theories as a guide. In the recent years, the translation of Chinese Menu attracts more and more attention; at the same time, some linguists make the effort to improve the situation, which is far from satisfaction. Hence the author attempts to make a tentative analysis of the Diversity and Unification of Chinese Menu Translation from the systematic and theoretical perspectives by applying the relevant theories.
