Such A Soldier

Huagaiji has a vital significance to Lu Xun. Since the publication of Huagaiji, Lu Xun had thoroughly transformed his writing focus from previous novels to essays. In Huagaiji, he argued with the intellectuals who used to be his comrades in a special way for the first time, which had penetrated his whole life. Huagaiji maked Lu Xun's unique achievement, in that as far as the language is concerned, it had been vastly different from those produced in Fen and Refeng times. In the present thesis, chapter one claims the differences between Hugaiji and Fen and Refeng, as well as the process of their production. Chapter two will give an insight on the arguments between Lu Xun and Yang Yinyu, Zhang Shizhao and Chen Xiying etc., in which Lu Xun was reflected as a smart soldier against the desperation. The third chapter analyzes the writing skills in terms of Sarcasm, Implicitness and the language features in quotation.
