The Persuit For Nationality In The Art Of Music Of Hu Songhua

The thesis is attempting to summarize the characteristics of singing and the achievements on art of Hu Songhua, a well-known tenor and songwriter in China, through studying his performances of singing and practice of teaching.The main body of the thesis is divided into three parts as follows:The first part is about Hu Songhua's process of art, based on which his skills for singing and the ethnic flavors are formed;In the second part, the distinctive characteristics of artistic expressions of Hu Songhua are revealed after analyzing his two types of vocals, including the national operas based on music of ethnic minorities .And the third part gives an account of his two achievements as he gives his elder age to succeeding and developing national music. The first one is the accomplishment of the works of TV art The Long Songs Full of Affections Spreading over A Very Long Distance and the second one is the establishment of the laboratory for art of Hu Songhua, whose aim is to cultivate young singers from poor families.As a conclusion, his process, achievements and notions of art, as well as his influence on Chinese music are presented.
