The Comparison Between Lu Jiuyuan's Mind Philosophy And Wang Yangming's Mind Philosophy

This paper starts from Lu Jiuyuan and Wang Yangming's unique personal experiences and issues on their different theories , seizes the core concept of their Theories,then makes an detailed comparison between their Mind Theories with the method of comparative analysis. First, this paper briefly describes the developmental history of Mind Theory, highlighting the inheritance of Mind Theories from Mengzi and Cheng Hao and the digestion on Buddhism, then reveals their different theoretical issues they faced. On this basis, around the key concepts such as the "Mind is Principle," "Original Mind" and "intuitive knowledge ", "realizing intuitive knowledge " , taking Zhu Xi's Reason Theories as a reference, the paper analyzes their differences and similarities as well as the reasons step by step. This paper argues that though Lu and Wang's Mind Theories are attributed to the same school of thought and they have many similarities , however, because of various factors, there are significant differences between them. Lu Jiuyuan's Mind Theory attaches great importance to establish the moral subjectivity. Although overall it is loose, followed and inexhaustive, the theory itself contains extensive open space for development. Wang Yangming's Mind Theory had developed the inner road of"For Dao"(为道)in nature and as a whole the Theory of Wang Yang Ming was harmonious and translucent . It regards Mind and Matter, "Mind"and"Reason" , "knowing and doing ","body and function "as a whole, and it also regards ontology, Gongfu Theory and Jing Jie as a whole.Wang's Theory is the purification, deepening and transcendence of Lu's theory in nature.
