The Study On The Literary Feature & Thoughts Of "the Book Of Su Shi The Bible Of Changes"

Su Shi is a famous literateur of the Song Dynasty who has a prestigious position in the history of Chinese literature. He was one of the eight most litterateurs in Tang and Song Dynasty.He did so well in each field of literature and art that he was regarded as the "great master" of the literary circle at his time. His calligraphy,his paintings,his literary works were given favorable reception from dynasty to dynasty.But being a scholar who studies traditonal Chinese culture,especially as a scholar who studies the Bible of the changes,there are much little people to know him."The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes" was published decades later after Su Shi's death. As Su Shi's works were forbiddened at that time,the book was spreaded quietly with the name "Pi Ling Yi Zhuan".During the period of the Southern Song Dynasty, "The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes "was not given proper evaluation because of some political reasons and Zhu Xi's unfair comments about it.Even so,some people who could think independently found the value of this book,such as Lu You in Song Dynasty,Jiao Hong,Chen Suoyun,Mao Jin,Gu Bin in Ming Dynasty and Ji Yun,Zhou Zhongfu in Qing Dynasty."The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes" is really different.Su Shi's had combined Confucianism,Buddhism with Taoism."The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes" was the prodution that Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism were amalgamated by all means which was Su Shi's philosophy viewpoint representation. "The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes " had perfected Su Shi's academic system. His philosophy viewpoint and his literary thoughts had promoted and perfected each other. His philosophy viewpoint had supplied the limitations of Su Shi's literary thoughts, and his literary thoughts had endowed the Bible of Changes artisitic conception.Su Shi had inaugurated the new method of illustrate "Bible of Changes" that had been always cared about the real society. His study of "The Book about Bible of Changes"had a special feature in research method and thought which had an oringial research visual angel.The literary feature of "The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes" comprise two aspects,the literary style and the literary principles.The literary style of " The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes " is not quite the same with Su Shi's other literary works.Su Shi tried to explain Yi-Ching in an easy and interesting way.He wanted to make the sophisticated theory easier to understand,make the literal principal closer to reality and endow Yi-Ching more pratical meaning. So his illustration was carried out in stories, metaphors, and so on.We can learn many literary principles from this book.Su Shi told us his ideas about how to create wonderful works through this wonderful book.For example, his ideas of differentiation of symptoms and signs,his all-wave angle of view,and his righteous-centered principle etc, His liteary principles gave his literary creation perfect foundation and correct direction.Su Shi's illustration of Yi-Ching gives us both spirtual and intellectual enlightenment. To study the literary feature can teach us how to understand Su Shi better, how to create literary works better,and how to live a better life. It is very important to study "The book of Su Shi the Bible of Changes".Therefore,this paper studied the literary feature of this book and the relationships between this book and Su Shi's other works for further show that the contribution to the history of development in Chinese literary.The first chapter analyse the literary characteristics of this book, it is mainly manifested in the theoretical perspective, the language style and features, Su Shi showed us so many original ideas about "yiching" via his unique theoretical Angle, and when we read this book,it seems we're surrounded by a series of interesting stories which are very instructive to the reader, besides, the language style is very characteristic,though it was rather concise and serious,but it made readers think more and feel happy.Su Shi creatived a blend use of pianwen and prose,which made his book much more freely,the technique of expression in the serious speculative revealed lively and clever.The second chapter mainly discusses the literary thought of this book and its relationship with su shi's literary.This book embodies many literary thought consistent with the one principle runs through it all, dialectical unification, comprehensive, etc, these literary thought and su shi's literary theory are closely related,we can say, the literature thoughts of yi zhuan is the embodiment even complement and comments of su shi's literary theory.The third chapter discusses the merit and the defect of Dongpo yi zhuan, for the aspect of literature, Su Shi's unique theoretical angle, and his following no set form made his language very casual and refreshing,which embodies the principle of the creation of pragmatic and flexible. But the language was too succinct, and the expansion of "yi-image" was not enough, we have to say, it was a slight flaw in a white jade. As to the literary ideas, it had a lot of innovation, especially the creative use of the entire hexagram comprehensively "yi", he express "yi" ideas into literary thought,which widen the vision of literary theory.
