Since The Qing Dynasty, Research On Clubhouse In Sanjiang County Of Guangxi

Since the the Qing Dynasty,the large number of foreign businessmen who main were cantonese migranted in Guangxi, and established many culbhouses. They depended on culbhouse as commercial nodes, deep went cross villages in Guangxi, and gradually opened up a modern commercial network, changed the economic structure of Guangxi, communicated Guangxi with other commercial zones. In this paper, inscription data as a basis and literature, Sanjiang clubhouse as a case study,discuss the survival and the development of clubhouse,demonstrate their historical significance, offer some suggestions for the development of Sanjiang County today.The thesis has four parts.The first part is the introduction, general reviewed the academic history of the culbhouse, and described and the topics of origins, significance, research methods and ideas.The second part is the pushpower and the background of Sanjiang culbhouse. First, introduced the basic situation of Sanjiang before Ming and Qing Dynasties,pointed out these towns were basically mililltary-political type ,businniss function was samll part;second, economic center of china was moved south,in Ming and Qing Dinasties,many immigrangts moved in Guangxi,some were business immigrengts; Finally, noted the local property and transport. These factors were the driving force of clubhouse.The third part is the interpretation of the Sanjiang culbhouse. According to monuments of culbhouse and inscriptions information from field investigations, interpret and restore the culbhouse.Meanwhile, discuss the commercial networks behind the clubhouse, and the architecture and beliefs of culbhouse.The fourth part is the function and influence of culbhouse. Based on inscription information, determine the function; clear the influence to promote social progress and development in the local society.The fifth part is the conclusion; summarize the historical reasons for the emergence and revelation of culbhouse.
