Mara and Dann, an Adventure is a brilliant masterpiece of Doris Lessing createdat the end last century, which unfolds a picture of the future world full of imagination. The work describes a story that Mara and Dann finally return to the Garden of Edenafter experiencing a lot of difficulties and obstacles, which is full of ups and downs.Varieties of myths prototypes and metaphor expressions abound in the work whichoffers the possibility for people to accept and elucidate the rich text from differentperspectives and levels. And the deconstruction theory put forward by Derrida breaksdown the western traditional metaphysics"logocentrism"and provides scholars a newmedium to analyze multi-meaning implicated in the text. The present study analyzes Mara and Dann, an Advanture based ondeconstruction theory, which is consisted of three parts.Chapter One, the work about deconstruction of the Bible and the traditional"Utopia"narrate is illustrated from the perspective of narration. In deconstructing thetwo kinds of narrative types, the powerful discourse of the religious center, moderncivilization, the center of Europe, men center and so on is deconstructed one by one, which embodies Lessing's strong critical and rebellious spirits.Chapter Two, the work about the deconstruction of the binary opposition patternof the relationship between human being and nature is presented from the aspect ofeco-criticism. Lessing builds the ecological concept---"poetic habitat"in dispellinghuman-centrism.Chapter Three explores the causes of Lessing's creative subversive thought fromLessing's personal life experiences. This part points out Lessing's childhoodmemories and exile experiences stir a significant impact on her questioning andexploring spirits. The three parts deconstruct the western"logocentrism"and binary oppositionpattern from diversified aspects. The nature of deconstruction is not just dispelling, but reconstruction after dispelling. While Lessing deconstructs"logocentrism", shealso builds a Garden of Eden where human and nature coexist harmoniously.
