Logic originated in argument, which is able to achieve victory for both sides of argument to find a valid theoretical basis. Is well known, Aristotle is the father of Western logic, he laid the foundation of traditional Western logic. Ancient Greek development of social production, the spirit of rational argument and the study of language provided a profound social and historical theoretical foundation for Aristotle's argument thoughts. The author believes that Aristotle's argument thoughts is in the basic position of its logical theory and is an important part of its logic.Aristotle's argument thoughts regards the four predicate as logic elements, regards the syllogistic reasoning and inductive reasoning as general methods. He also has insights to formation and elimination of errors. Among these elements, the four predicate not only constitutes the basis for all the propositions and questions, but also is the basis for argument expand. Syllogistic reasoning is the primary method of argument. In addition, Aristotle also discusses the the general principles followed by argument.Aristotle's argument thoughts have ground-breaking theoretical value to the construction of theoretical system of traditional logic. At the same time, it also gave birth to the embryonic of some modern logic. In addition, it also can provide reference value and relevance for contemporary people thinking ability, science and everyday life. With the rise and development of modern logic,in particular the non-formal logic, we should re-examine and evaluate Aristotle's argument thoughts. Return it to re-live the world.
