Watercolor "Improvisation" Deduction

Watercolor painting has gradually formed its unique language system through longtime accumulation. It has already developed its own irreplaceable position on the stage of art and it has been widely accepted and recognized since it came to China. It has developed versatile styles which arose from the similarities between watercolor painting and traditional Chinese painting. Watercolor painting has shown a harmonious relationship with Chinese society through the tendency of a perfect expression and it carries the understanding and explanation of contemporary watercolor painting artists on present social problems of culture.This paper aims to arouse the consideration of the impromptu creative skill and consciousness of Chinese ink and wash painting. We should improve the impromptu creative consciousness and try to protect the " improvisation" in our works based on the traditional painting creation. Thus we can improve the accomplishments of Chinese watercolor painting artists, enlarge the spiritual scope of watercolor painting, enhance the expression of watercolor painting and improve the artistic quality of the works.We have added the impromptu creative consciousness on the foundation of traditional creation of watercolor painting in order to relax the artists and reduce their pressure for they will be creative on a free state. However, such impromptu creative skill cannot be easily imitated or grasped. It requires a rich experience and deep cultural study as well as the foundation of a high artistic accomplishments and aesthetic extent.
