The Baroque Era (1600---1750) in the history of the European music was an important period when the humanism in the Renaissance was inherited and the music at a deep level presented its brilliance. With the improvement of the Craftsmanship of the instruments, and influenced by the then human and social environment, musicians made great progress in the composition, theory and the performance, which made the music composing rich in ideas, contents and forms in this period. Interior string ensemble art was a convincing example. This form of art has undergone more than 400 years and it is still active on the stage with its decent sentiment, harmonious beauty and poetic passion appreciated by the people around the world.Based on art,sociology,culture,historiography of music and musical aesthetics, and following up the thread of the string ensemble art in the Baroque Era, the thesis attempts to seek the causes of resonance of this form of art with the then cultural thoughts,the spirit of times, the social environment, the cultural changes as well as the formation and the process of changes.The research will deepen the understanding of the relationship between music and social culture, aesthetic value and the influence of the music in this period on later ages.
