The thought of language is one of the most important aspects of Heidegger's ontological thought. In his view, the pure language is poetic language, which opens up the possibility of poetic dwelling in the modern era. Heidegger's early thought of language is focus on the realm of Existentialism of Dasein. He continued his critique of traditional language thought and took'Discourse'as the basis of existential language. "Discourse" constituted the poetic existence of Dasein. Through this, Heidegger transferred propositional language to existential language. However, his early ideas of language still have some limitations, for that the thought of "discourse" still treats Dasein as the centre of his research, which wants to construct a conceptual and systematical theory and remains in a frame of traditional metaphysics. Heidegger criticized this direction in his research of late 30's in the 20th century. He analyzed around two problems:First, how can beings come into "their" own being; Second, how can the speaking of Ereignis be transferred to human words, and how can human words gain purity. These two issues entangled with each other, which reflects the broad existential background of Heidegger's thought of language and implied the typical characteristics of "go back".To Heidegger, the nature of the language is poetry. This view makes his language thought to be in a strong poetic nature. The strategy of studying language in a poetic way is decided by the internal development of Heidegger's language thought. His earlier and later language thoughts reflect not only the change and deepen of his thought process, but also keeps the consistency in their conditional and constitutional and original characteristics. This consistency is an important manifestation of the poetic character of Heidegger's language thought. Though science and technology was treated as the supreme truth in modern society, Heidegger's poetic view of language makes language return to its own foundation, by which human obtain their homeland of being. This thought is important for us to return to our poetic existence.
