Bely In China(from 1921 To The Beginning Of The 21^st Century)

Andre·Bely (1880.10.26-1934.1.8) was a famous Russian Silver Age poet, novelist, theorist of symbolism and pioneer of formalism at the turn of the nineteenth century into the twentieth century.He created hundreds of works including short stories,long novels,poetries,research articles on literary theory and memories.All of those had a great impact on some of Russia's writers of his time and later.He had been understood by Chinese intellectuals and scholars in the 1920s,however the translations and researches about his works in China had suffered nearly a century tortuous process.So far,the readers and scholars in China have also carried out only for his presentation and interpretation, and no one has researched him and his works in China by media-translatology.This paper will take the situation of Bely's Translations and researches in China as a clue, describle the history of Bely in China from the angle of media-translatology,and do a investigation of media-translatology at the same time.In the part of Introduction, it makes a general introduction to Bely's achievements and a exposition of theoretical basis, research methods and research purposes,shows the need of introduction to the lifetime,creations and the situation of researches of him at home and abroad,emphasizes that the possession of complete information of the empirical study is the basis for Translation Studies, and points out the deficiencies and the methodes of making them up in writing.In chapterⅠ,it is necessary to make a general introduction to Bely's life for most of chinese people even scholars are unfamiliar with Bely,then sum up the research results in Russia and the West,,which will help us to know our country's level on Bely science more accurately and make up the shortfalls. In ChapterⅡ, it gives the overview of Bely's translations and researches in China which has been arranged from the rich historical materials, meanwhile analyzes and sums up the focuses and features in every stage of his translations and researches.In chapterⅢ,on the basis of media-translatology theories of Lefebvre,it takes Bely in China as a case of media-translatology study and do the research from the specific cultural context,especially make a balanced analysis by Lefebvre's theory of 'three elements'ideology,poetics and Patronage.In conclusion,it summarizes the lacks of the whole process of Bely's translations and studies in China,showes the limitation of this paper,and looks forward to having a good future in the field of Bely science in China.
