Lu Ji, Lu Yun brothers were important figures in Western Jin dynasty, having wide range influence on literature, culture and politics. It has very important significance to explore their social association, for understanding the literary, cultural and political development of this period. So this thesis is divided into four parts to explore it:The first part is "family relatives". Lu brothers were born in a prominent family. Their family was the first rank in the south of Changjiang River. They were impacted of family education from birth. They mostly associated with Lu's family members and people whom Lu's members married. This stage of education and association formed a unique Confucian thought, and a high degree of family responsibility. This part of thesis details persons in Lu's family who often contacted with Lu brothers, or had an important impact of them.The second part is "good friends in the south of Changjiang River". From birth to go to Luoyang, Lu brothers mostly contacted in addition to their family, as well as the members of the other first rank families in the south of Changjiang River, to form a large interpersonal networks. After Lu brothers going to Luoyang, some of these friends who were still not officials only wrote poetries and letters to them, and the others followed Lu brothers to be officials. They formed a group for common good of the southern officials, and Lu brothers became the core of this group because of their high reputation. The association with southern friends gave Lu brothers emotional comfort and career help, and made the greatest impact on them.The third part is "the persons to get to know in West Jin dynasty". In the end of Taikang years, Lu brothers went to the capital, Luoyang. After that they socialized with the upper classes of society in Western Jin dynasty. At that time, the political and literary circles of Western Jin was in a phase of relative prosperity. The literary groups with the dignitaries and celebrities as the center were very active. Members of these groups were mainly the northern. Lu brothers closed to some of the northern, whom they often discussed with in literary skills and political issues. But some others had a bad relation with Lu because they had different opinions in many fields.The fourth part is "Lu brothers' lives and the features of the Stages of friendship". This part summarizes the friendship cases in Lu brothers'lives, it is divided into three stages as time sequence and boundary region:in Wu area and go to Luoyang, contacts with the southern man in Luoyang, and contacts with the northern man in Luoyang.
