Humankind has stepped into the era of technology, when modern technology is playing a significant role in all aspects of the society. People have started to ponder deeply over the positive and negative effects brought by modern technology with Martin Heidegger as a representative. He has stunned the world by citing disclosure as the essence of modern technology. According to Martin Heidegger, this kind of disclosure of herausfordem is the form of completed Metaphysics. With this kind of Metaphysics permeating into the science, art and religious sectors, the dangers at the highest level are created. However, "Where there is a danger, there is a rescue, " said Martin Heidegger citing the line of Holderlin. The rescue power is hidden in art, which has a kinship with modern technology but completely different with the latter. Fundamental thinking and decisive judgment of modern technology are included in art. Truth could be discovered in the art works and it is another representation of arts. As the source of modern technology, techne means a disclosure of truth in the radiance of the creators. Then the rescue of modern technology by art transfers into the surmounting of Metaphysics by truth, of which the most fundamental element lies in the re-thinking of the Being. Human beings should clarify the relationship of Being and beings and think of things from subjectively and objectively with the aim to exist in a poetic way.The general framework of this paper is divided into three parts. The first part is aimed to unveil the necessity of the rescue of modern technology by arts via analyzing the essence of modern technology and the dangers coming along. The second part explains the relationship between techne (source of modern technology), art and truth and demonstrates why art could rescue modern technology via introducing the kinship between techne and art and the discovery of truth with the essence of art. The last part is about how will art rescue modern technology. On the basis of the analyses in the second part, this sector lastly finds the methods for art in rescuing modern technology and then helps humankind surmount anthropocentrism as well as develop a habit of thinking things both subjectively and objectively. The ultimate purpose of this paper is to lead human beings to a poetic being.
