In this study, there are two parts concluded. The first part was to revise the measurements.Through stratified random sampling,330 the grass-roots level of land forces from Ji Nan Military area composed overall sample, and the overall sample is divided into sample 1 and sample 2 two parts.Using item analyse, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's coeffieient analysis, the reliability and validity of Chinese multi-dimension perfe-ctionism scale(CFMPS) was reviewed among sample 1,so as to provide effective measuring tool for subsequent study. The second part was the quantity research.Perfectionism scale revision of first phase, self-esteem scale(SES) and self-concealed scale(SCS) were surveyed among sample 2.Forecast relation between perfeetionism, self-esteem and self-concealment by correlation analysing and struetural equation modeling. The res-ults showed that:1. The structure of Perfectionism(including Concern over Mistakes,Parental Expectations,Personal standards,Doubts about Action and organization)developed by ZiFei (2006) in military field was reasonable, and had its practical significance.2. The scores of five factors in CFMPS of the grass-roots level of land f-orces, except organization, the other four factors were significantly positively related to each other.Maladaptive perfectionism(Concern over Mistakes,Parental Ex-pectations,Personal standards,Doubts about Action),self-esteem and self-concealm-ent significantly related to each other.Maladaptive perfectionism showed signifi-cantly positive correlation with self-concealment,negative correlation with self- concealment;in contrast, adaptive perfectionism(Organization)showed no significantlycorrelation with self-esteem and self-concealment.3. There were significant titles and ranks differences in personal standards and parental expectations of the grass-roots level of land forces. In the Personal standards dimension, the non-commissioned officers scored significantly higher than the officers, as well as, in the Parental Expectations dimension, the scores of compulsory servicemen and the non-commissioned officers were significantly higher than the officers.4. There were significant educational level differences in parental expectations and Organization of the grass-roots level of land forces. In the Parental Expectations dimension, the army officers and soldiers with education level below junior high school and junior scored significantly higher than junior college and above, as well as, in the Organization dimension, the army officers and soldiers with education level below junior high school.5. Through structural equation modeling,it can be found that the total effect of the maladaptive perfectionism on the self-concealment,including the direct effect and the indirect effect, is 0.56.Using regression techniques to examine the mediating effect of intervening variable(self-esteem),we can found that self-esteem was an intermediate link between maladaptive perfectionism and self-concealment, the ratio of the mediating effect and the direct effect is 0.55.To sum up, on one hand, maladaptive perfectionism had direct effect on self-concealment of the grass-roots level of land forces, on the other hand, had indirect effect on self-concealment through intervening variable(self-esteem).When they excessive pursuit perfection, the level of self-esteem would decline, and a decrease in the level of self-esteem also can increase the degree of self-concealment.Therefore, the psychological health workers of troops can develop mental health education for amy officers and soldiers from accepting themselves and setting up the correct self-conceptions,so as to improve their self-esteem and prompt them to form the correct interpersonal ideas and behaviors, and to realize the value of their human resources.
