Aesthetic Study Of The 30 Years' Transition In Chinese Rock Music

Rock music is a genre of popular music. It has developed for 30 years in China till now. During these 30 years, rock music has been changing itself along with the transition of Chinese society and culture, as well as its interior need of aesthetic value. It has always been in the tremendous contradiction between spiritual values, artistic values and commercial values, hence the constant adjustment of both the content and form of rock music. Researching on the change of Chinese rock music is a respectively efficacious way to see through the transition of aesthetic culture in China. It is trying to sort out the developing track of Chinese rock music in this thesis, regarding the 1990s as a milestone, and then revealing the new developing trend of Chinese rock music.It is dividing into two parts of this thesis, the first part is mainly discussing about the whole circumstances of Chinese rock music during the lately 30 years. It has three periods as "Enlightenment Period"(1980-1989), "Classics Period"(1990-1996) and "Innovation Period"(1997 till now) during these 30 years. The second part is researching on the transition of Chinese rock music, which refers to the theme of lyrics, aesthetic features and communications media. It has considerably realistic value of researching on the 30 years' development of Chinese rock music. It is able to reveal the transition law of other aesthetic culture genres as well.
