During Qing Dynasty(1644-1912),Chinese Muslims uprisings broke out frequently on the northwest land of China, which caused social and economic unrest of northwest China. Reasons for so many uprisings were complicated. After each uprising, the Qing government took strict policies and measures in order to strengthen the control of northwest China. These policies and measures included the settlement of Chinese Muslims who took part in the uprisings and policies to restrict New Teaching and so on, which not only changed Chinese Muslims population distribution but also influenced the development of Muslim society and Islamism in northwest China. The Qing government's policies and measures after Chinese Muslims uprisings varied with the political and economic circumstance,which could be demonstrated in speciality through the following aspects:firstly, the political status of Chinese Muslims in Qing Dynasty;secondly, the systematism of muslim society and its interaction with central government;thirdly, the expansion of central government's ideology in the context of the dissemination of Confucianism.
