The research and writings on Li Ao and the thought of his "FuXing Book" are a little in the academic circles. Reseachers expound the influence of Buddhism and Taoism on confucianist mind-nature theory by Li Ao as the example only in the introduction of Song-dynasty philosophy of principle history or in the reference to the confrontation, the absorption and the dispute of Confucianism, Chinese Buddhism and Taoism. In their respective Chinese philosophy history work, Mr. Feng Youlan, Mr. Lao Siguang, Mr. Chen Lai et al process all-around analysis of the nature and affections theory in Li Ao's Fu Xing Book. They have determined the direction for posterity's research. After the 80s, the experts start to conduct and careful research on Li Ao and "FuXing Book". They have obtained the rich fruit. These articles give much beneficial inspiration to my research. But in the academic circles, there is the difference about the research of Li Ao's Fu Xing thought. Most scholars think the thought is self-contradictory. When it explains the nature of goodness for what reason has the evil passions. Only Mr. Li Xiaochun proposes that the thought is Li Ao's intention not his negligence in his book "Discuss Li Ao's Theory of Human Nature Again". This viewpoint gives the very valuable inspiration to my research. In addition, the former researchers mostly study Li Ao's thought by two clues of Confucianism and Buddhism. But they stress on the development of the thought in the internal of Confucianism. They study a little the Buddhist influence on Li Ao. On the one hand, futher study is made in this article on the basis of the predecessors'research. For example, Li Ao absorbed and transformed Confucianism. He inherited "the destiny says the nature" and the nature is good. Based on this, he strengthed the status of "honesty" by Zi Si. Finally he constructed the Confucianism mind-nature system. He thinks the nature is good and passions are wicked. The nature is the source of passions. Passion are the performance of the nature. The nature produces passions. But the evil passions are the result of human desires. Therefore the evil passions are the non-root. This viewpoint initiated the birth of Song Ming nature dualism theory. On the other hand, this article emphatically narrates the Buddhist influence on Li Ao from the following aspects. 1.The thinking mode in "Mahayana sraddho tpadasastra". 2.Zen:Everybody has the Buddha-nature. To see the nature whole heartedly to achieve Buddhahood.3.Tian Tai Sect:The nature of Tathagata and manners. It thoroughly discusses the development and the status and significance of the thought.
