This research attempts to examine the types, characteristics, interaction of motivations, behaviars, topics discussing, emoticons using and the influences of those factors to relationship and loneliness in the process of QQ interpersonal communication. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were used and four meaningful results were found. Result one shows that there are four main motivations and six main behaviors in QQ using, and three motivations can predict all behaviors separately. Secondly, there are six kinds of topics and emoticons during QQ chatting. These six kinds of emoticons can also be classified into three types, and they are'expect-responsive and responsive'emoticons,'responsive and expect-responsive' emoticons,'responsive'emoticons. The emoticon of'intlMacy and sadness'can predict the behavior of QQ interpersonal communication. Thirdly, the behaviors of QQ interpersonal commuinication can not influence the relationship of QQ users directly. However, emoticons of'grief, intlMacy and torment'and topics of'private businesses'can stIMulate the self-disclosure which is the mediating factor, and the self-disclosure can influence the relationship of QQ users. Finally, behaviors of QQ interpersonal communication were driven by the motivation of affiliation and interpersonal communication, not the loneliness. Moreover, behaviors of QQ interpersonal communication can contribute to weaken the loneliness.The innovation of this research was studying the whole four communication elements of psychological variables, behaviars, verbal information and nonverbal emoticons under the view of both communication and psychology. Moreover, it got the prIMary interaction mode of QQ interpersonal communication.
