On Moral Consideration Of Internet Interpersonal Communication

Internet is occupying our daily life. Almost everyone who are exposed to internet find that internet is not a kind of technology, but a new way of life based on information. Internet technology impacts individual economy, culture and thought. In a sense, individual's life has been an internalizing one. As a mostly way of life in cyberspace, Internet interpersonal communication is a sort of new one distinguished from traditional interpersonal communication for individual. This thesis tries to probe into the ethical problem in the course of internet interpersonal communication, and it is divided into four parts:Part one, defining the conception. It interprets the definition, types and features of internet interpersonal communication, holding that internet interpersonal communication brings an opportunity for human moral advance.Part two, generalizing phenomena. It makes a conclusion on the negative moral influence of internet interpersonal communication, expressing concretely as the follows : the weakness of moral idea, the indifference of moral feelings, the weakness of moral will, the anomie of moral behavior and the schizophrenia of moral personality.Part three, analyzing reasons. It analyses the cause of internet interpersonal communication's problem from three sides: network technology, social culture and individual's psychology.Part four, seeking the approaches. It argues that the countermeasure removing the negative moral influence of internet interpersonal communication is to enhance the cultivation of the cyber citizen's virtue. Three goals and principles, in this paper, have been set up. The cyber citizen's virtue can be cultivated by means of strengthening the management of network norms and technology, internet moral education and individual's adjustment.
