Study On The Landscape In Qufu Confucian Temple

Confucian Temple is a famous world-class culture heritage in China. It is the veneration and worship of Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, and the sacrifice ceremonial site which past dynasties highly praising Confucius and Confucianism. Additionally, it is also the place where Confucianism spreads from. It is the symbol of Chinese ancient educational idea and the political supremacy. The Confucian Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province, is the original Temple for Confucius, the oldest, most spectacular one. Comparing with other ancient architectural complex, the most distinctive point of Qufu Confucian Temple is its long history and vitality. Only Confucian Temple has been being respected and payed attention so that it can be repaired and extended by the contribution of nation in each dynasty. Consequently, it becomes the landscape architecture having the longest historical life.The target study of this thesis is the Confucian Temple in Qufu, the content is the landscape of Qufu Confucian Temple. There is a symbiotic relationship between its landscape and history of Confucian Temple. From the perspective of culture heritage, the research on the Confucian Temple is not only conducive to the development, protection and utilization of culture heritage, but also meaningful and valuable for the development of Chinese civilization.This paper based on the development and history of Qufu Confucian Temple shaping, on one hand, starting with studying the landscape in Qufu Confucian Temple, research respectively from aspects of the historical status and significance of Confucian Temple, the cultural landscape in Confucian Temple, on the other hand, research the architecture element, water, plants, pavement and analyze the architectural space combination and landscape space layout. Finally, combining with the history of Confucian Temple, obtain the conclusion that the landscape of Qufu Confucian Temple is reasonable in historical view, it has value of utilize in modern landscape architecture as well.
