A Study On The Phonetic Characteristics Of Zhangdian Dialect

In this paper, we describe the phonology of zhangdian dialect,and mainly analyze the phonetic characteristics,such as the transfer of erhua, the abrupt tone and the literal and colloquial phenomena.we attempt to provide an interpretation of these phenomenas by analyzing the dialect region and historical articles with the methods of linguistics. At the same time, we will interpretate the historical strate and development process of these phenomenas.There are six parts in all. We give an introduction to the situation of zhangdian, and the formation of its dialect. In chapter 1, the methodology and the source of the material in this paper are also introduced in this part. In chapter 2, we analyze the phonetic form and the evolution of the transfer of erhua. We draw the conlusion from the statusquo of erhua that erhua has the trend of disappear. In chapter 3, we state the development of abrupt tones, and the clear-initial consonant is mainly studied. The development of abrupt is effected by the dialects round it. In chapter 4, we discuss probe into the tone sandhi of the zhangdian dialect and draw the conclusion that the tones which have mergerded will separate in the tone sandhi, that the tone sandhi will show the tendency of the development of tone. In chapter 5, the literal and colloquial phenomena is the key point, we analyze the phenomena and show its historical strata, such as the historical strata of Jilu mandarin, of Jiaoliao mandarin, of Zhongyuan mandarin. In the final chapter, we draw the conclusion that the development of Zhangdian dialect is affected by mandarin, at the same time, its own law is the leading role.
