A Phonetic Study On Wu Dialect Of Zhibu Town In Zhuji County,Zhejiang Province

Zhuji is located in the north center of Zhejiang Province.It's the junction of south and north Wu dialect.The dialect spoken in Zhuji,known as Wu dialect,belongs to Taihu Lake Wu dialect,Linshao Group.This thesis takes the dialect of Zhibu as the research object.Based on field survey materials,this paper sorts out the phonetic system of the dialect used in Zhibu and make a preliminary examination on the historical strata of its dialect.What's more,according the phonetic comparison between the dialect of Zhibu and Jiyang,we made a targeted fieldwork,which involves 12 villages and towns of Zhuji.And in the light of these linguistic data,this thesis divides 14 towns into three dialect-groups.The main content and conclusions are as follow:First,this thesis sorts out the phonetic system,syllabary,homophone table,the contrast table of current and mid-ancient phonetic system,as well as the vocal characteristics of the dialect used in Zhibu.Second,based on the previous research of Wu dialect,this thesis makes a preliminary examination on the historical strata of its dialect,involving palatalized misarticulation of Jian? group;the level of rhyme Ri ?;the combinations and separations of Jing? Zhi? Zhuang?Zhang ? groups;the present pronunciation of rhyme Ge? rhyme Yu ?,Xian Shan ? groups,Dang ? Jiang? Zeng ? Geng ? Tong ? groups and the phonological combinations of Shen?Zhew ? groups with Zeng? Geng ? groups.Third,according to the phonological comparison between Zhibu dialect and Jiyang street dialect and the targeted fieldwork,this thesis divides fourteen villages and towns into three dialect-groups:Group A:Dongbaihu,Tongshan,Anhua,Huangshan,Paitou,Wangjiajing,Jiyang;Group B:Zhibu,Jiangzao,Yingdianjie;Group C:Donghe,Zhaojia,Ruanshi,Diankou.Fourth,in a word,we can make a preliminary judgment that Zhuji dialect is in a mixed state which is affected by both south and north Wu dialect.
