The main purpose of this study is to explore the originals of style of imperial furniture in the QianLong reign. Through the screen archives of Zaobanchu and the antique furniture which conserverd in Palace Museum to confirm with the witnesses which were reflected in the files and relics.QianLong period is an important stage in the development of imperial furniture, At this time specifically, Zaobanchu which was in charge of producing and designing various royal implements had been improved gradually on the organization.A large number of imperial furniture produced at this time.One particular concern is the screen, which not only on the archive number far beyond the other categories of furniture,but also can be seen as a sample concentrated almost all kinds of modeling techniques in Qing furniture.However,the specific research systematically about imperial screen is almost blank. This article based on the files of Zaobanchu I collected for many years is attempt to make a tentative study on the imperial screen in the QianLong reign.
