The Research Of Motion Verbs In "Shi Ji"

This thesis selects eight motion verbs of "lai", "wang", "qu", "shang", "xia ", "chu ", "jin ", "ru " from "Shi Ji" as the research object.In the thesis, We focuse on two issues.The first is the research of motion verds'syntactic function. On its syntactic function, we mainly discuss two cases of the motion verds, the verds act as motion verds individualy and go into the serial verb construction;The second is the location components which are closely related with the motion verds. In discussing this issue, we mainly start from the following aspects:from the type of location components, it can be divided into three:"Common nouns", "Position words", "Common nouns & Position words";And from the syntactic function of location components, they act as object, complement or adverbial; And from the matching between motion verds and location components, whether they need syntactic markers or not, and the motion verb should take startpoint location components or endpoint location components with it. Specifically speaking, the introduction part primarily discuss the importance of verbs'study and the achieved achievements, and treat the classification of verbs and semantic features as highlight; On this basis, we propose to divide motion verds into two types:orientation class and method class.In the first chapter, we study the meanings of motion verds, the method of studying and the classification of motion verds from macro viewpoint, and determine to regard the eight motion verds of "lai", "wang", "qu", "shang", "xia", "chu", "jin", "ru", which select from"Shi Ji ", as the research object of this thesis; From the second chapter to the seventh chapter, we study the eight motion verbs from the following aspects:motion verbs act as motion verbs individually, motion verbs go into the serial verb construction and the matching between motion verds and location components, to reveal the characteristics of the eight motion verds of their own from every aspect.What's more, we also do some comparative study on the similar motion verbs or the contrary motion verbs.
