A Study On The Multi-Action Construction Of Sou Shen Ji

Multi-action constructions is composed of several verbs.What are the syntactic and semantic relationship between verbs in a multi-action constructions?How will the evolution of multi-action constructions is the focus of our research,this paper takes Sou Shen Ji as a platform of multi-action constructions.Sou Shen Ji as an outstanding representative of the ancient Chinese ghost novels,which for the ancient times of strange type works,gets down the Tang Dynasty legend,the Song story-telling script novel,the Ming and Qing Dynasties ghost novels have far-reaching Impact.Most of these works of narrative close to the spoken language,more spoken components are recorded in the conversation,can reflect the characteristics of vocabulary and grammar of this period,so it also has a high research value in terms of linguistics.This paper collects all the multi-action constructions in Sou Shen Ji,and concludes the types of these types of multi-action constructions,such as Serial verb constructions,verb-complement constructions,adverbial-verb constructions.This paper analysis the front three types.Adhere to the combination of form and meaning,insist on combining synchronic description and diachronic evolution,adhere to the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,the use of data to illustrate the problem,to ensure the scientific of the study,description of language facts and theoretical thinking combined,explains the relevant grammatical phenomena and explains the reasons behind in structuralism linguistics,cognitive Linguistic theory.The full text is divided into four chapters,the main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the preface,divided into four section.The first section is about the multi-action constructions of study were reviewed;The second section confirm this article research object;The third section introduce construction grammar;The fourth section introduce research methods.The second chapter is a study on the Serial verb constructions of Sou Shen Ji,divided into two section.The first section adhere to form and meaning of the combination to introduce the type of Serial verb constructions in Sou Shen Ji.The second section discourse the evolution of the Serial verb constructions“wang+vp”in Sou Shen Ji by using the theory of construction grammar.The third chapter is about the study of verb-complement constructions in Sou Shen Ji,divided into three section.According to the transitivity of V2,the first section introduces the types of verb-result of Sou Shen Ji by combining form and meaning.According to the characteristics of the predicate and the complement,we introduce the type and the characteristic of the Sou Shen Ji in second section.The third section discourse the evolution of the verb-complement constructions"V+Vwanjie" in Sou Shen Ji.The fourth chapter is about the study of adverbial-verb constructions in Sou Shen Ji,divided into three section.The first section analyzes the types of mode adverbial constructions in Sou Shen Ji,and thinks that the semantics of mode adverbial is not self-sufficient,and only has the meaning when compared with the later action or nature change.The second section analyzes the types of modal adverbial constructions in Sou Shen Ji,and the modal meaning of modal adverbia is derived from itself,compared with the mode adverbial.The third section analyzes the connection between the adverbial-verb constructions and the Serial verb constructions.The study of Sou Shen Ji multi-action construction,On the one hand,the study of the polysystem of Sou Shen Ji,has a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the types of verbs in the early Middle Ages,and learned other problems in the ancient Chinese grammar system,enriching the research content of ancient Chinese grammar.On the other hand,from the constructions of the point study multi-action constructions in Sou Shen Ji,use the theory of constructionalization and constructional change,and from the perspective of diachronic descript constructionalization,to deepen people's understanding and understanding of construction grammar,making it a grammar research tool,widely used to solve the irregular and specific problems in Chinese.
