Chinese Excerpt:"Back-in-time Fiction"(It refers to those novels that feature a modern-era hero or heroine who is thrown back to an ancient time and relives the well-known historical events, which however are spiced with supernatural and romantic plots.), widely favored by youth literature fanciers, emerges as an overwhelming force that sweeps across network and paper-based media and is increasingly known household as a best-seller on the internet and bookstores. Back-in-time fiction, though with a vague definition, have something in common: the heroes/heroines undergo the car accidents, missing or the leaping before they have been pushed down to an era of ancient times, and embark on a series of activities during that epoch.Contrasted with the prevalent selling of the fictions themselves, the endeavor to unravel the over-popularity of fiction within the academic circle, however, still remains faint and powerless. This article is a tentative endeavor to penetrate into the cyber-cultural traits of back-in-time fictions such as its grassroot, popularity and folk characteristics through analysis of its wording, narrative, writing techniques, in an effort to have insights into the cybercultural background of back-in-time themes. In this essay, I attempt to unravel reasons for the sweeping popularity of back-in-time fictions, especially among female readers, through the dissectional analysis of relationship between the authors and internet, the literature composition and cross-application of network. Moreover, this paper triggers discussions regarding how to cater to public aesthetic needs of literature composition under the competitive commercial background, as well as to make clear of the contingent realism underlying words. With a focus on the interpretation of the textbook and cultural relevance, I take a panoramic view into the origin, development and prevalence of the back-in-time fiction, and define explicitly its social and cultural value. I am committed to examining the deep-level literature and social awareness of back-in-time fictions in the cyber cultural framework, and dig out its prevalent elements, with an end goal to have an insightful analysis into this phenomenon overall.
