The Research On The Style Of Emir Kusturica's Works

Emir Kusturica is one of the film directors with the international honor in the world, however, due to the complicated history of Yugoslavia, Kusturica and his works have not been paid much attentions to in china. But the directors's creating style which is implicated in the films is valuable, with his wonderful imagination, Kusturica displayed his understand and pursuit of cinematics through his bizarre and frantic comedies.This is a new ideal that using Bahktin's carnivalization to research on the carnivalesque spirit in the films. The research regarding Kusturica's works is conducted in the following aspects: the background of the directors, the style of the films, audio—visual language, etc. The thesis tries to catch the essence and soul of Kusturica's works by using comic aesthetics, on the basis of that, the thesis wants to support a new mode of commenting the films and make a primary thinking about the comedy movie creation.The body of the thesis in conducted in three parts: because the some films referred to the history of Yugoslavia, in the first part, the thesis makes a generalization about the history of Yugoslavia, ethical conflict, vita of the director and his works. In the second, by analyzing the style and audio—visual language of the films, the thesis explores deeply the symbol and metaphor about movies'motif. Finally, after introducing the Bahktin's carnivalization, the thesis tries to explore the carnivalesque spirit which is implicated in the films, and make clear what is the director hoping for under the style of carnivalization.
