Active Imagination is the core theory and principle of Jung's Analytic Psychology. It is the way to let us directly communicate with the Unconscious directly. It is also an ideational theory and attitude to Unconscious. The purpose of Active Imagination is to make a psychic harmony between the conscious and unconscious gradually, and to make a complete Self.Jung's Analytic Psychology may belong to the clinical psychology or counseling psychology. Unconscious is a special research field, which should use special paradigm and blueprint through special thinking style and reach methods to differ from scientific psychology. The text is based on the phenomenological method, combining with Jungian analytical psychology, traditional Chinese culture and modern scientific ideas, in the balance among the four, to explore and study Active Imagination.The text reviewed the relevant researches international and internal; discussed the operating principles and moves of Active Imagination; specified the argumentation and explained the definition and classification of Active Imagination.According to my seven years learning, researching and applying Jung's Analytic Psychology, according to my personal and cases experiences, I want to make contributions as following:about the definition and classification of active imagination; formation stage; stage and different levels; operating processes and procedures; operating conditions; dangers and misunderstandings; the origin with Chinese cultural.Through the five clinical cases, the text discussed several problems of the unconscious, make a conclusion that the awareness has its core function in Active Imagination. Hence the help of awareness, we can deep into the unconscious, integrate the conscious and unconscious, then we benefits for the lives and work, for the further progress.The reach want to contribute some experience and thinking about the way encounter deeply into the unconscious by the help of Active Imagination.
