Iran is located in the Middle East, with important strategy geopolitical position. Gradually, Iran become the U.S. strategic alliance against the Soviet union. When Nixon entered and hosted the White House, the international situation changed greatly. The United States have heavy burden on it's domestic economic, political and social situation, because of the Vietnam War. Facing the rigorous situation, Nixson came up with a thoery: "Nixson Doctrine", declaring that "the U.S. will decrease the military duty of Asia," but the U.S. Government will provide a new form of economic and military assistance in this region.
