In the early 18th century, Count de Mirabeau is one of the main representatives of constitutional monarchy faction in the French Revolution. In the early French Revolution, Mirabeau played an important role in encouraging the struggle of people by his excellent touching speech and profound thinking of the reality, and so he became the revolutionary hero in the people's mind.This paper is divided into four parts to be discussed. The first Chapter which will be divided into three parts:before the Revolution (Which includes two parts) and the Revolution, introduces the life of Mirabeau, including the personal lives of family and social background, and his own upbringing which influenced his political idea and practice in the later. The second Chapter discusses Mirabeau's political thought and his reconcile policy in the relation between Mirabeau and constitutional monarchy faction and the relation between Mirabeau and royal family, by which we can analyze his efforts of attempting to mediate both the conservative and extremist and his political thought in this course. There are two parts talking about the contribution of Mirabeau in 3rd Chapter. Mirabeau played the role of firming and encouraging revolutionary confidence and morale by his speech with genius and deeply insight in the early Revolution. Then he made outstanding contribution in the French Government's internal and foreign affairs at that time by his realistic political wisdom. The 4th Chapter Conclusion:Evaluation of Mirabeau. Mirabeau relayed on his eloquence to defend the revolution, he maintained his political ideas and tried to make reconciliation between the conservatives and extremists in the revolution, all of these aspects is worthy of recognition. But the life style of his youth largely limited his political ability to display, in addition, the unbalance of political powers in the France Revolution, and Mirabeau's premature death, all of these made Mirabeau political ideal burst.By this paper we will try to outline the historical image of Mirabeau and highlight his political thought and practice by means of literature, and papers and works collected on Mirabeau.
