A Study On The Relationship Of The Armed Police's Mental Health,Occupational Stress, Social Support And Collective Efficacy

To investigate the state of the mental health of the Armed Police and its relationship with occupational stress, social support and collective efficacy, providing references for Psychological training and mental health education in the Armed Police, this research utilizes Symptom Check List 90(SCL-90), the occupational stress scale for military personnel, perceived social support scale and collective efficacy scale. The sample including 508 Armed Policemen has been scored. Based on the data, the surveying index of occupational stress scale for military personnnel has been checked, the status of the Armed Police's occupational stress and mental health has been analyzed. The results show as following:(1) The occupational stress scale for military Personnel has a good reliability and validity.(2) Their general state of the mental health is not bad. All of the factor scores is greatly lower than those of army norm.(3) For the Armed Police,various grades, ranks are significant difference on occupational stress , various grades are significant difference on mental health.(4) The influence factors of military personnel occupational stress are personal development and job stress and the influence factors of military personnel mental health are obsessive, interpersonal sensitively, hostility and paranoid ideation.(5) Mental health is positive correlation to occupational stress , and is negatively related to social support.(6) On mental health, occupational stress is a significant positive anticipation gene, and social support is significant negative anticipation genes; on group level, collective efficacy can positively anticipate the relation between mental health score and occupational stress, social support. It is suggested that while Psychological training and mental health education are condueted, more importance should be attached to obsessive, interpersonal sensitively, hostility and paranoid ideation, to the special groups. Work should be conducted to reduce the stress on personal development and job. According to the assignments of the Armed Police imitating training should be encouraged in order to improve their Psychological endurance and adaptability.
