Study Of Twisted Lotus Patterns' Artistic Style And Aesthetic Content Painted On Porcelains Of Ming Dynasty

Scrolling lotus patterns painted on porcelains of Ming dynasty are in various forms and innovative. These scrolling lotus patterns are expatiated in this thesis by six times. They are the Initial stage of Ming Dynasty, the early stage of Ming Dynasty, the blank period of Ming Dynasty, the middle stage of Ming Dynasty, the late stage of Ming Dynasty and the last stage of Ming Dynasty. Meantime, it also describes the artistic styles of scrolling lotus patterns of the government kilns and the civilian kilns, and analyzes the causations of these different artistic styles. In addition, it discusses and analyzes the different artistic conceptions'causations of the freehand brushwork of scrolling lotus patterns painting in the initial stage and the last stage of Ming Dynasty. Finally, the artistic value and impact of scrolling lotus patterns painted on porcelains of Ming dynasty are expounded.
