The Ethical Consideration On The Problems Of Old Empty Nesters

With the in-depth development of China's aging process,more and more elderly families became empty nest, and the number of empty nesters is increasing. A major problem of taking care of the old empty nesters is the lack of spiritual comfort. That is related closely to the intergenerational Ethics, remarriage ethics, and hospice ethics. In this thesis, questionnaire survey is used to study the old empty nesters in Xuanwu District of Nanjing, and the SPSS statistical software is employed to statistically analyze the survey. By discussing the environmental ethics, remarriage ethics and the hospice ethical issues like normal death of old empty nesters, I hope to give a theoretical and practical interpretation.After investigation and analysis, with the changing values among generations, the generational differences of culture and the barriers of space-time and so on, intergenerational communication should be effectively carried out, in order to enhance inter-generational understanding and the ablation of family generation gap by caring each other. Second, the remarry of old empty nesters have rich personal values, family values and social values. Facing the difficulties of remarriage, the elderly should have a correct remarriage philosophy, the family members should respect the decision of remarriage of old empty nesters, and the social should create a relaxed moral atmosphere of elderly remarriage. The last, the lonely death of old empty nesters often, social equity and justice, the right of life of the elderly is not well maintained and the death dignity is invaded. To avoid such tragedies, we should enhance the intergenerational family relationship of the old empty nesters and promote the moral atmosphere of caring old empty nesters.At present, the ethics of old empty nesters is not well studied. Obviously, caring old empty nesters is the unavoidable responsibility of the society. This thesis aims to increase the life happiness of the empty important for increasing the happiness of old empty nesters and building harmonious socialistic families nesters. Therefore, solving this problem is very important.
