Engineer's Ethical Responsibility Of The Peaceful Use Of Nuclear Energy

The extensive application of nuclear energy to economic development and social life have a great interest,To the technical level of mankind, the peaceful use of nuclear energy can not be replaced. From a technical point of view, large-scale use of nuclear energy can be used to solve some of the energy demand. Nuclear technology in industry, agriculture, medicine and other fields have a wide range of applications. However, application of nuclear energy development also has a negative effect, For example, nuclear security risks. Judging from the current human master nuclear technology perspective nuclear power is safe. But human factors caused the security problem has been highlighted.Some experts statistics, To the 1990s, Due to human factors of the nuclear power plant accident an average of 70 percent, Countries with the highest of 85 percent, It is evident from this, The safe use of nuclear energy depends mainly on the main reasons, Further said, Mainly depend on the work of the engineers. Engineers'activities to fulfil the conditions directly affect the safety of nuclear energy in the course of nuclear engineering.This paper combined case studies with theory demonstration, described the theoretical basis and the practical basis of engineers'ethical responsibility in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and analysis the specific performance of the engineers'ethics responsibility from the two angles of the role responsibility and universal responsibility in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. From one angle, this paper described that a nuclear engineer,as a professional in the engineering technology research and development, design and construction,should have their own ethical responsibility. From the other angle,this paper also demonstrated that the engineers who are engaging in nuclear engineering should have the ethical responsibility on the project-related interest groups and the environment. Thus this paper summed up the guiding principles of the engineer'ethical responsibility in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Not only by the conflict of epistemology and value point on the nuclear engineering and nuclear technology knowledge,but also by the universal contact of the nuclear engineering technology and society,the paper try to find the internal and external factors which have hindered the fulfill of the engineers'ethics responsibility in the peaceful use of nuclear engineering technology. By the methods of multiple perspectives in philosophy, ethics, law, etc, using interdisciplinary analysis, the paper has summed up the specific strategy on how to train the engineers'ethics responsibility in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
