With the party and the country paying close attention, in 2006 Tongliang dragon dance and craft were included in the national and provincial level (Chongqing) of the first list of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage. On the "dragon" shape of props writings have been related in 1980s, but with the development of time, it have been greatly changed from modeling to materials, tools, crafts than 20 years ago. Especially After the success of " entitled ", the Tongliang Dragon monograph have not yet see in research journals and dissertations. Its work in conservation and heritage continued lack of scientific ideas guide.the lag on the theory is bound to its development, Therefore, the existing literature data on its comprehensive update and improvement, not only is the objective requirements of non-material cultural heritage protection "long" and "sustainability" principle, but also specific protecting measures of "dynamic integrity ".Therefore, this paper aims to research the craft of Tongliang Dragon , based on the Fine Arts, and integration of design arts, folklore, sociology of culture, heritage, science and other related disciplines ,and to conduct multi-dimensional research attempts. First, to deal with the tools, raw materials, process in new period,and to make detailed records, sorting and analysis features of craft of Tongliang Dragon with the methods of systems engineering and field survey. It aims to provide timely literature data support in regard to system transmission, development and research, and to explore the protection, development of the mechanism. Secondly, to Analysis the evolution of the craft of Tongliang Dragon from the two dimensions of the historical development and technology based on the survey on the craft of Tongliang Dragon, and to research the cause and discipline of craft evolution, and the aesthetic of folk craft. Finally, to analyze current development of the craft and to make timely and effective protection strategies on its problems and future prospects of targeted advice.
