On The Function Of Art Education In College Student's Quality Education

Art education is an essential constituent of university students' education of all-around development, which is playing an irreplaceably unique role in developing their qualities and is of great significance to promote their all-rounded development. Art education is not training for specialized skill.In the education of all-around development, it should be the indispensable part of a universal education aiming chiefly at cultivating qualities such as humanistic quality and aesthetic faculties.Art education can promote moral education and intellectual education, and also helps to build one's body. The popularity of art education in universities helps to heighten students'aesthetic taste and improve their living quality and thus enriching their life and knowledge.It also plays an irreplaceable role in instilling into university students a sound outlook on the world, life and values; in training their creativity, their study ability and in helping them to form a healthy attitude towards life.However, art education in our universities is relatively weak at present in the degree of attention, the depth of evaluation, the teacher's level and course system.The thesis discussed the moral and aesthetic education function of art education in university students'competence-oriented education.It also expounded the aesthetic,emotional and social function of art education and its role in promoting human's all-rounded development. The aim of this thesis is to research approaches of implementing art education in universities on the basis of analyzing its present status with the hope to bring forth its implementary approaches and to construct a theoretical system of higher practical value.To accelerate the popularization of art education in universities is an effective means of strengthening students'competence-oriented education.
