Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) is a great composer in the German Romanticism Period. Under the trends in the romanticism, Mr. Brahms didn't drift but formed his unique music creation concept. His compose mixed the classicism and romanticism together, became one of western music precious heritage in the 19th century.Mr. Brahms' works have a high extensive achievement in areas of the vocal music styles, piano, chamber orchestra, and etc. "D Major Violin Concerto" was written in Mr. Brahms' most energetic period of his life, but also is the only one creation of Mr. Brahms' violin concertos. It is also the only one violin concerto in Brahms' life. This song with Mr. Beethoven "D Major" and Mr. Mendelssohn "e Major", Mr. Tchaikovsky e minor adjustments "D Major", and master violin concerto called "The Four Concertos".This article would find out Mr. Brahms' succession of the classicalism music, and his romantic musical features, via analyze his "D Major Violin Concerto". And based on the analysis of the harmonic technique and further research work in harmony style, Brahms appreciates the Master of Arts.
