Study On The Petrification Motifs From The Mongolian Folklores Of Toponyms

The thesis is mainly about the petrification motifs from the Mongolian folklores of toponyms.Combining the motif-organon, social-history caitique, and comparative study methods, the thesis analyzes and summarizes the catergories, characteriseics and cultural resources of the petrification motifs.The boby goes on with elaboration from two aspects:First,the petrification motifs are divided into four kinds as figure pecrification motifs, Mongos petrification motifs, animd petrification motifs and utensil petrification motifs, following the analysis and summary of the featuaes and properties of each kind. Second,the cultural sources of petrification motifs can be traced back to the Mongolian believes,the harmonious relationship and aesthetic ideology between human and nature, following the illustration of the effects given by the three sources.The last part as the conclusion summarizes the unique features of petrification motifs,showing that the petrification motifs root on the Mogolian rock worship and their spiritual outlook,demostrating and proving their close relationship and the Mongolian aesthetics.
