A Study On The Reform Of Peking Opera In Yan'an During Anti-Japanese War

The reform of Peking opera in Yan'an during Anti-Japanese War which is the beginning of a series policies of opera and literature and art after the establishment of new China has been promoted by the joint action of the constant evolution of the opera's improvement and the culture of war since China entered the modern times. And it is the body of this paper that realizes and understand the cultural background of the reform of Peking opera in Yan'an in this particular era through combing the relationship between the reform of Peking opera and literature and art in Yan'an and going into the depth-study from the internal and external reasons of the specific activities of the reform of Peking opera, the relationship between it and literature and art in Yan'an, as well as the relationship between it and the culture of war. The paper is divided into three parts:The first part begins with the historical background of the reform of Peking Opera in Yan'an, which mainly outlines the brief history of the reform of the modern old drama so as to illustrate the historical background of the rise of the reform of Peking opera in Yan'an during the Anti-Japanese War and the reform policy of Peking Opera in the political background.The second part mainly introduces the evolution by stages of the reform of Peking Opera in Yan'an. In this part, according to the process of Anti-Japanese War, the adjustment of literature and art policy in Yan'an, and the creative mentality of intellectuals in Yan'an and the character of stages of the reform of Peking Opera, at the same time through combining with some representative works to analyze the character of different period , the reform of Peking Opera is divided into three periods which are radical period, calm period and mature period.Finally,in the third part, the author mainly talks about the continuation and evolution of the reform of Peking Opera in Yan'an. In this part, the author draws a conclusion that it is closely related to the changes of the reform of Peking Opera and the changing times because it is always a result under the guidance of political culture from the controversy during the Anti-Japanese War to the evolution after the establishment of new China. And because of this leading concept, the experience of the reform of Peking Opera in Yan'an is spred out on a large scale after new China was founded.
