The paper entitled《The Research of The Electronic Music Means in Music Drama "Leitmotiv"》focuses on the multimedia music drama "Leitmotiv" which was composed by the Canadian composer Michel D. Robidoux. Through the classification and analysis of the typical electronic music means in this music drama, the author wanted to exhibit how this musical form communicated with other burgeoning music genera and obtained innovation and development in aspects like musical language and performance.First of all, the paper made a historical view upon the relationship between music drama and electronic music in Chapter "electric sounds entered music drama". And from the three points of view below:"electro-audio techniques", "special timbre and sound", "music editing ways", it was presented the most important methods of electronic technology influenced the music drama composition and realization.In the main chapter of the paper "the electronic music means in'Leitmotiv'", the author started from musical language itself and concluded the influence and conceptual updating the electronic music trend of 20th century brought to the music drama creation to three aspects:"the application of electronic timbre", "the use of 'concrete' strategy", "the building of musical space". In the related process of research, the most important music structural center of this drama "leitmotiv" was involved. From such analytic clue, the paper would show the huge potential possibilities of the music composition and conceptual communicating ways of the music drama which has flexible forms and various kinds of representation. |
