The genre of classic Italian songs, which were formed under the circumstance of the Renaissance and development of Italian opera, is a splendid part of Italian vocal arts during 17th and 18th century. The classic Italian songs with unique musical and vocal style, which are of high artistic value, are frequently performed by vocalists. Meanwhile, they are basic study materials for "bel canto" learner, which are of high educational value.These works comprise beautiful melody and refined structure, which contain both introverted emotion and passion. Meanwhile, the classic Italian songs acquired both grace of art songs and dramatic of opera.To study technical skill and style of classic Italian songs is the key to perform the works well. The understanding of the same song could be various from learner to senior artist. The students' re-creation should follow some basic principle, instead of a blind imitation of senior artist.While to sing classic Italian songs should integrate skills, which is a foundation of the vocal arts, with expressive force, which is the soul of musical works, their beauty of elegance, fineness and classic could be expressed.
