Ravel's Miroirs is a major work for pianistic literature. This complex suite combined with 5 movements, is full of rich expressive and suggestive qualities, as well as unique and challenging keyboard techniques. It is extremely popular among pianists and is frequently studied and performed, both whole or in part, by pianists all over the world. The body of research available on this work primarily describes analytical aspects, but rarely talked about the interpretation, and technical challenges for the performer. In my own study and research, however, it became clear to me that there was a need for a more detailed and imaginative analysis of this work.,This document analyzes about not only structures and textures, but, even more the interpretation and imagination as well. The whole thing was divided into 5 individual chapters in order to show the details while playing these pieces as much as possible. Some of them are focus on articulations, signs and marks, others are on shapes and phrases, and certainly pedaling will never be ignored. Therefore, here, the author hopes to have this work geared from a performer's view, towards assisting the teachers, students, and performers in their working on and understanding of this piece. Although the discussion of technical, and interpretive matters in such a work could essentially be endless, the points covered in this document are the most notable and significant.
